I’ve had many personal experiences with sea turtles, from volunteering at La Tortuga Feliz in Costa Rica to scuba diving in Bonaire. They hold a special place in my heart and are one of my favorite animals. This painting captures a magical moment during a dive in Bonaire when a beautiful Green sea turtle swam by me unexpectedly. Time felt as though it stood still as it moved with grace and ease, glancing at me as if to say hello before joining others nearby. In its gaze, I felt a deep connection—love, curiosity, and mutual acknowledgment, as if we were speaking the same language.
 
Sea turtles face significant threats from habitat loss, pollution, warming waters, and poaching. Through this painting, I hope to share my soul connection with these incredible beings and inspire others to help protect them and their habitats.
